EU Rubber Products Standard:

• The European Union regards the implementation of European directives and technical standards as a product's entry condition for entering the European market. So far, CEN has completed more than 600 to 700 safety standards. Among the C standards, there are 16 standards related to the rubber and plastics machinery profession. These standards were developed by 14 working groups in TC145.
• At present, most of China's rubber and plastic machinery and plastic machinery safety standards adopt European EN standards. The European Standardization Committee CEN is the main provider of European standards (EN) and technical specifications. The European Union has established dozens of safety-related standardization technical committees since 1985. Among them, CEN / TC145 is specifically responsible for the development of “rubber plastic machinery Technical Committee on Safety Standards.
• In addition to the member states of the European Technical Committee for Standardization must comply with these 16 standards, some developed countries have adopted these standards to varying degrees.
• These standards generally include the definition of each product's safety requirements, hazard lists, safety requirements and measures, safety requirements and measures verification and safe use information.
• On December 2, 2010, Mr. ClaudioCelate, Chairman of CEN / TC145, and his delegation exchanged views with China National Standardization Management Committee and National Rubber and Plastics Machinery Standardization Technical Committee on China-Europe rubber and plastics machinery standardization work. In the exchange, through the introduction of Chairman Celate, we learned several information:

1. TC145 is responsible for preparing and revising the technical standards for rubber and plastic machinery in Europe. The standard itself is not mandatory, but the European Directive requires that rubber and plastic machinery products must meet the corresponding safety and health requirements. When the EN standard formulated by TC145 is not used, Relevant certification documents are required to show that rubber and plastic machinery products have met the corresponding safety and health requirements. Judging from the current statistics, basically 100% of the rubber and plastic machinery products in the EU countries meet the TC145 standard, because compliance with the TC145 standard is the most convenient and effective method.
2. At present, Chinese companies are more and more concerned about the European market, and more and more Chinese rubber and plastic machinery are entering the European market. However, although some Chinese rubber and plastic machinery products have the CE mark, they do not fully comply with the TC145 standard.
3. CEN / TC145 newly established the 17th working group, tire shaping and curing machine working group in December 2009, which coincides with the national standards for the safety requirements of tire shaping and curing machine formulated by our SAC / TC71. Both parties have the same goal in promoting the safety performance of rubber and plastic machinery products.
