Safety Principles of Machine Operation
 

In the production process of using flat vulcanizing machine, we must understand some safety operation requirements to avoid safety accidents. Below we list some basic safety operation procedures, I hope the operators can take it seriously.

  1.  All molds must be centered when placed in the flat plate. Take the gloves with the mold to prevent burns.
  2. When the test piece is stuck, open the mold and be careful to prevent it from falling.
  3. Adjust the pressure gauge according to the die size and the specified unit pressure. It is strictly forbidden to overpressure vulcanization.
  4. It is strictly forbidden to accumulate uneven plates in the flat plate.
  5. When cutting the sample with the vulcanized board, the protective rubber sheet must be placed.
  6. If the equipment is faulty, the power must be cut off before processing.
  7. When taking the test piece from the mold, pay attention to the cavity of the cavity and the surface of the die to protect it from scratches.
  8. It is strictly forbidden to take the mold or clean up the debris when the flat plate is raised.
  9. Do not use the flat vulcanizing machine beyond the specified temperature.
  10. When not in use, turn off the power, put down the pressure, and close the oil valve.

Antistatic Agent Impack on Finished Produce

  • In general, antistatic agents are compounded with pigments and other auxiliaries in an internal mixer or extruder. Technically, a pure antistatic agent, such as an ethoxylated alkylamine, has another advantage in that it melts during liquid injection molding and then acts as a pigment masterbatch dispersant. The antistatic masterbatch can be added directly to the finishing equipment. The effect of the internal antistatic agent is closely related to the production conditions of the finished product. For example, the antistatic function of an injection molded article depends on the temperature of the mold. Generally, when the temperature of the mold is low, the antistatic agent is relocated quickly, and then the antistatic function is improved.
  • There are two test methods for evaluating the action of antistatic agents: external resistance (rate) method and electrostatic decay method; both methods are widely used.
  • According to the definition of Federal Test Method 4046, electrostatic decay refers to the rate of discharge of induced charge. A sample (typically a thin plate or film) is placed between the two electrodes with a distance of a few millimeters from the surface of the sample. One electrode is connected to the power source, and the other electrode is connected to the ammeter and the recorder. The electric field change caused by the charge induced by one electrode on the outer surface of the sample is measured by the other electrode. Antistatic samples will exhibit decay of the induced charge. The decay half-life (in seconds) is the time required for the charge to decay by half its initial value.
