Impact Facts On Vulcanizing Processure:

  1. Vulcanization temperature: If the temperature is higher than 10℃, the vulcanization time of the plate vulcanizer will be shortened by about half. Because rubber is a poor heat conductor, the vulcanization process of the product is different due to the temperature difference of each part. In order to ensure a more uniform degree of vulcanization, thick rubber products generally adopt gradual heating and low temperature vulcanization for a long time.
  2. Vulcanization time: This is an important part of the vulcanization process. If the time is too short, the degree of vulcanization is insufficient (also known as under-sulfur). The time is too long and the degree of vulcanization is too high (commonly known as over-sulfur). The flat vulcanizer has only a suitable degree of vulcanization ( Commonly known as positive vulcanization) in order to ensure the best overall performance.
  3. The amount of sulfur: the larger the amount, the faster the vulcanization speed, and the higher the degree of vulcanization that the plate vulcanizer can achieve. The solubility of sulfur in rubber is limited, and excessive sulfur will be precipitated from the surface of the rubber, commonly known as "spray Sulfur". In order to reduce the phenomenon of sulfur injection, it is required to add vulcanization at the lowest possible temperature, or at least below the melting point of sulfur. According to the requirements of the use of rubber products, the amount of sulfur in soft rubber generally does not exceed 3 %, the dosage in semi-hard rubber is generally about 20%, and the dosage in hard rubber vulcanization conditions can reach more than 40%.

Vulcanizing Effects Brief Introduction:

The combined use of rubber can also reduce costs. Although some vulcanizer rubbers have excellent properties, they are expensive. It is completely feasible to use other rubbers or resins in combination without damaging the properties of the original rubber.

  1. Compatibility: Rubber is different from low-molecular compounds. The theory of polymer mixing is more complicated. The most important factor is the compatibility of the combined system. Generally speaking, the factors that affect the compatibility of rubber are: the polarity of the rubber, the cohesive energy density, the crystallization of the rubber, and the molecular weight of the rubber.
  2. Dispersibility: The degree of dispersion can be divided into homogeneous dispersion and heterogeneous dispersion. Homogeneous dispersion indicates that the two rubber polymers are monomolecularly dispersed, that is, completely compatible. But in fact, the possibility of homogeneous dispersion is very small, mostly heterogeneous dispersion, that is, the combined components still maintain a certain phase interface, and the discontinuous phase (island phase) is dispersed in another continuous phase (sea phase). ) In the dispersion.
  3. Co-vulcanization: In addition to compatibility and dispersibility, another important factor is co-vulcanization. It refers to the selection of the vulcanization system of the combined rubber and the adjustment of the vulcanization speed. Rubber with a slower sulfur rate can reduce the amount of sulfur added and increase the accelerator to match the vulcanization rate of natural rubber.
  4. The combined use of styrene butadiene rubber and other rubbers: the combined use of styrene butadiene rubber and natural rubber is the most widely used. Adding a small amount of natural rubber can improve the viscosity and process performance of SBR. Increasing the combined use ratio of natural rubber can increase the tensile strength, tear strength and elasticity of vulcanized rubber, while also improving the wear resistance and aging resistance of natural rubber.
