The theory of rubber blending came into being with the practical process of blending.   3. The implementation method of rubber product blending and the progress of blending modification According to the state of the rubber and synthetic resin during blending, there are three blending methods as follows: melt blending and blending solution blending.
  4. "Melt blending" is a method in which synthetic rubber or synthetic resin is heated to a molten state and then mixed. Melting and mixing are carried out in a rubber mixer or extruder, which is a commonly used method in industrial production. Liquid blending is a method of mixing polymers in an emulsion state, such as NBR/PVC blends.
  5. In recent years, research on rubber modification by blending with low molecular compounds or oligomers has attracted more and more attention. These low-molecular compounds or oligomers generally contain active and reactive atoms or groups. These atoms or groups can undergo grafting and block copolymerization with rubber macromolecules during the blending process or the vulcanization process of the blend. Or cross-linking reaction, thereby playing a role in modifying rubber. This kind of blending modification of rubber is called reactive mixing modification.
  6. The blending of rubber with low-molecular-weight or oligomers can not only improve the mechanical strength of rubber, but also improve other properties, such as blending natural rubber with maleic anhydride to produce maleic anhydride graft copolymer of natural rubber and vulcanize it The fixed elongation stress of the rubber is increased by more than 10 times, the number of dynamic fatigue bending resistance is increased by nearly three orders of magnitude, and the heat aging resistance is also significantly improved. Another example is the blending of low polyacrylate and nitrile rubber, the former can cross-link with the latter in the presence of initiator, which not only significantly improves the mechanical strength of nitrile vulcanizate, but also improves the adhesion of nitrile rubber to metal strength.
  7. Low-molecular flower care or translational blending modification of oligomers and rubber products is a supplement to non-reactive modification technology. With the commercialization of many low-molecular compounds and oligomers, this modification technology The application prospects are very promising.
